Datuk Seri Nurmala Binti
Datuk Seri Nurmala binti Abd Rahim, aged 62, was appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director on August 23, 2016.
She holds various qualifications, which are (1) B.A. Hons. Social Science (Second Class Upper), Universiti Sains Malaysia (1977), (2) Diploma in Public Administration, INTAN (1978), (3) M.A. Public Administration, Pennyslvania State University, USA (1988), (4) Women Directors On-Boarding Training Program, Nam Institute for the Empowerment of Women (2013) and (5) Certificate for the Mandatory Accreditation Program for Directors of Public Listed Companies (May 2014).
She has held various positions in the past, which include, (1) Assistant Secretary, International Division, Ministry of Agriculture; Assistant Secretary, Planning and Development Division Ministry of Agriculture; Principal Private Secretary to the Hon. Minister of Agriculture (1978-1984), (2) Senior Project Officer, National Institute Of Public Administration (INTAN) (1984-1986), (3) Assistant Director/ Principal Assistant Director, MAMPU, Prime Ministers Department (1988-2002), (4) Director of ASEAN Division, Ministry of International Trade And Industry (MITI) (2002-2004), (5) Minister Counsellor, MITI Office, Malaysian Embassy, Tokyo, Japan (2004-2006), (6) Senior Director, Strategic Planning Division, MITI; Senior Director, Management Services, MITI (2006), (7) Deputy Secretary General, Ministry of Plantation Industries And Commodities (2007) and (8) Secretary General, Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities (2011-2014). She currently holds a directorship position in Tabung Haji Plantations Berhad.
